Summary

Kaiser Permanente- Washington Permanente Medical Group, the Northwest’s premier multi-specialty group, is currently seeking an exemplary Palliative Medicine Physician to join our group practice. This is a part-time position (.50 FTE) in Bellevue, Washington.

Washington Permanente Medical Group is dedicated to providing comprehensive, innovative and patient-centered care to communities throughout Washington. This position is part of a multidisciplinary outpatient consultation services in palliative care including direct care and virtual care. WPMG is committed to an evidence based practice model and a commitment to quality which has led to high HEDIS as well as high patient satisfaction scores.

This physician will engage with patients who are living with life limiting diseases and seeking assistance with symptom management, goals of care, and end of life issues. Their families and caregivers, alongside their current Primary Care and Specialty providers, will customize a medical care plan and create social support tools. Our goal is to improve patient and caregiver quality of life on their terms and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations. As a physician creating a new type of clinic at KP Washington, you will be encouraged to be curious and creative, comfortable with ambiguity, and enthusiastic with experimentation. You will be the medical leader of a team composed of others with medical and non-medical backgrounds. Design experience is not essential, but willingness to learn about process implementation and evaluation is a must.

Washington Permanente Medical Group offers a team based approach to care with considerable collaboration and consultation with both mental health and medical providers. Candidates must show a willingness to provide local leadership in the development of evidence based mental health practices among master’s level providers.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be BE/BC and completed a U.S. Family Medicine training program. Must have an unrestricted Washington State medical license and unrestricted federal-issued DEA.
