Summary

Washington Permanente Medical Group, the Northwest’s premier multi specialty group, is currently seeking a Locum Tenens BE/BC OB Laborist to join our busy and thriving Women's Health team. We currently have coverage needs in Seattle and in Bellevue.

Our well established and collegial group in Bellevue consists of 9 physicians and 8 midwives. The Seattle team has an experienced group of 11 physicians, 6 midwives, and 1 PA-C. Call Q5-7 with post-call day off, nights and weekends are home call. Deliveries and inpatient hospital care in Bellevue is based at Overlake hospital with a level III NICU and 24 hour in-house NICU and anesthesia coverage. Deliveries and inpatient hospital care in Seattle is at Swedish Medical Center on First Hill.

Seattle Weekly Schedule and Call: Anticipated one to two 14 hour week night call month, minimal if any week days. Approximately 12-48 hours of weekend call per month. All call is in-house at the Swedish Medical Center. Duties will include supervision of family medicine residents (all levels) and UW 3rd year medical students, and providing back up and consultative services to both WPMG and NeighborCare midwifery groups, as well as a small group of WPMG Medicine physicians who practice OB. No clinic or GYN responsibilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of post training experience, strong communication skills, be comfortable collaborating with Midwives, and enjoy teaching medical students and residents. Must have an unrestricted Washington State Medical license and unrestricted federal-issued DEA. We are looking for a positive partner who is comfortable with moderate-risk obstetric care and evidence-based practice.
